How to Make a Sunflower Centerpiece

Hi! Sandy with Afloral and today, I wanted to show you some simple centerpieces using this sunflower bush. This one of my favorites that we have, its FVS 193 and you can make corsages out of this, boutonnieres out of this, and you can use this for beautiful decoration and center pieces. If you’d like something simple, you can take this bush just the way it is and drop it into a vase and look at that beautiful centerpiece. Doesn’t that look nice? And you need not add anything to it. If you’re not really interested in vases, you could also drop it into a basket. I have a piece of dry flower foam in the basket and I’ve cut the stem down just a little bit. And you want about half of your flowers on each side of the handle. So I will feed through here some of flowers and then simply push the one stem into the middle of the foam. And then you can arrange because each flower is wired. You can move them around and arrange them to look like a beautiful centerpiece for your table.

To finish this off and to kind of hide the stems at the bottom, I’ve made a twirling bow from our tool and you can just stick that with the wires right into the foam at the base of your design. I’ll make sure that half of my ribbon comes out on either side of the basket handle and we have a couple of nice tails, and a very lovely wedding look and at a very quick and easy centerpiece.
