Can you make a corsage the night before? Will it stay fresh? Do you just refrigerate it? Or should a corsage be made on the day of an event? How do you keep it fresh?

How to Make a Sunflower Corsage

Hi! It’s Sandy with Afloral and today, we’re going to learn how to make a corsage out of sunflowers. I’ve used the sunflowers from this lovely sunflower bush and each flower comes with the leaf on the stem. So I’ve cut a flower off and I have the leaf that was actually on the stem and we’re going to tape the leaf to the stem using the floral tape. So remember, stretch the tape so it sticks itself, wrap it around the leaf and the sunflower stem, and we’re going to use three flowers in our corsage. We have one that’s just a little bit smaller and you’ll put those two together and tape. We’d like to use three’s. Uneven numbers always look beautiful in floral design and here’s our 3rd one. You can see that’s going to be a nice design and we’ll tape that one to it. So now we have three flowers with three leaves and we’ve taped all three together. To finish it of, I’ve made bowl out of tooling that we had here Afloral, the nice roll of tooling. It’s the right size to make ribbons and bows and I’ve gathered it together and made a small bow out of it, and I’m going to attach that right bottom of our corsage and then tape this on. When we’re all done, we’ll just cut the stem short so that you don’t see that when you pin this on and look how pretty that is. That’s a beautiful corsage for anyone.
