He did an excellent job with this video. It is pretty authentic. Like any recipe it will vary from family to family but this is like the one my own mother used to make. Thai people do use soy sauce in response to someone claiming soy is from Japan. Healthy Boy soy sauce is a brand I get thats imported directly from Thailand!

Nice presentation but I'm not sure what part of Thailand that recipe came from but I can assure you the Soy Sauce is from Japan. Although the chef presents his dish nicely, I think I'll stick with my traditional, less westernized, version of Thai Beef Salad.

I must say that some of the comments below are a bit harsh, unless you are clueless in the kitchen, it is pretty easy to follow the receipe. How many small chilli do the stock in your supermarket. I am sure it shouldn't be that hard of a decision.

Ad the soy/fish/sugar mix to the beef when cooking the slices? He never said to add soy sauce to the salad mixture. Would be nice to get actual directions. And the video is cut off at the end, so we miss the presentation. All in all, a poorly made video. (But the dish sounds great... too bad we can't make it.)
