Lets do something a little bit different here were going to let this hang off the side and I'm going to do a series of this short pieces here. So that we’ve got some fringes hanging off the sides of the weaving. So here’s what I'm going to do, I'm going to thread one of these and after I looked carefully to see where my last—this ended on under so I have to go, I have to go over then under. And see later you could take this little ends and you could actually tie little beads onto the end of them or you could tie feathers this ended on an over so I have to go under then over.
So I'm doing the same thing I’m just not making the turn, okay. The next thing I'm going to show you how to do is how to make running knots and they're actually the little pieces that like the little floss that would stick out in the center of the weaving and they're actually—there's some running knots on these weaving here with the blue and the white puff sticking out. So, what you have to do on the running knots is you use short pieces of yarn and you're going to lay it over to warps and then you're just going to bring up one end under and through the center, okay. And then the other one goes around and under and comes up in the center so basically it’s like that okay.
And then you pull them up and then you just lay them down because the next where I will hold them in place okay so I will do a bunch and you will be able to get the idea. Now you go over the next two, you don’t skip you want them to overlap so I'm going to go around like this and then over the two and then around and up through the center okay. And then you pull it off and then you do the next two. You just lay them down and you go around and up between okay around under, and up between, okay.
There we go, okay. Then you pull them up you can trim them later and then you take the next pair your overlapping pairs make as I making a thicker row here. Now I'm going to go back to this maroon color the pieces and this rows of weaving will actually hold the running knots in place. So I'm just going to let this hang down and do like four-five of them and then some more blue and will be closed. Now the last couple of blue rows get a little tricky sometimes you just have to push everything up a little bit. So you actually have room to fit them in.
And some people when they change colors knot the new color to the color they just finished and then as you continue to weaved you just top the knots through the weaving to the backside. Since I used a lot of separate pieces like this I just let them hang. And that will be fine, and I’d like to give my rile a little haircut it’s a little on the long side because you really don’t want it to cover up everything that’s underneath it.
So there we have it, now the next step is going to be to take it off the loom. Now you really do have some options here you can actually leave this just as it is right on the cardboard loom you don’t have to take it off if you don’t want to. But if you do choose to take it off. You could go outside then get a stick to hang it from or you could hang it from doll rod or you could just take it off and not all the warp strings together at the top and display it that way could lay flat.
Okay now we’re going to—I'm going to show you how to take the weaving off the loom, okay. We’re going to start I'm just going to do like two or three warps at a time okay, I just cut three of them loose okay, I'm going to pull two out and I'm just going to tie these two together. I'm not going to pull real tight I'm just going to tie a knot like that, okay. Then I'm going to cut apart a few more actually I just cut all the way across because the knot just are going to hold the warp strings in place.
Okay, so we take off the next two and we’re going to tie this together ones and then into a knot and you're just going to go all the way across. Now if you wanted to get fancy you know maybe you could take this to put them through a bead and then maybe you know tie a knot and you’ve a bead at the bottom of each pair of warp strings. There, so now the bottom part is on—is off okay now comes the top part and that’s the part were going to attach to the doll rod okay. So again your going to work with a pair alright. And when you have to make certain knot is that one work string goes in front of the doll rod and the other one goes behind it and then you tie it in place.
You have to make sure that when you're doing your tying that their even and that you are not pouring tighter on warps or on one warp string than the other. So that means you have to kind of moved your doll rod I'm going to get this centered okay that’s better. Because you don’t want your weaving to hang crocked basically that’s what we are trying to do. And I finally reach the last one everything looks pretty straight, so I'm not sure I would want this hanging in the front, I'm pretty sure that I would get some beads and hang some beads from here. So we just finish our little miniature weaving with the running knots.
