This video bartending lesson is brought to you by American Bartender School, where in just one or two weeks you can be fully trained and ready to work as a professional bartender.
Called a Margarita, so our Margarita uses a triple sec, tequila, margarita mix, or sweet and sour mix, and we’re going to salt the rim of our glass. So since it’s using fruit juice, we want to be sure to shake the drink. So what we’re going to do first of all, we’re going to put ice in our mixing cup, and then what we’re going to do is we’re going to salt the rim of our cocktail glass. Now, Margarita can be served on the rocks or up, but we’re going to serve this up. So we’re going to put lime juice right on the rim of our glass just like so right around there, there we go. And now I’m going to put it in kosher salt, thick salt; and you can say that the drink got a nice deep coating of salt on it. So I’ve got my glass prepared, so I’m going to use two ounces of our Margarita mix, here’s an ounce and a half, there’s two ounces right there. I’m going to use half ounce of our triple sec, which is an orange peelish flavored liqueur, our triple sec there.
Now what I’m going to use is one ounce of our tequila, here we go, pours in right like so. Take a glass part of my mixing set, give a little twist to seal it and then shake it seven or eight times, there we go you shake it up nice and curly, getting a nice and cold getting that sweet and sour that Margarita mix, the triple sec which is sweet, and the tequila all mixed together, then I’m just going to strain it in right by so. And there we have it, our Margarita.
