Rob Czar: T-shirt madness.
Corinne Leigh: And the second place winner of the Generation-T Tee Recon Contest with how to make a wrap shirt is Mollie.
Male Speaker: Intermediate.
Mollie: Hi! My name is Mollie, and today I am going to show you how to make a wrap shirt out of two old shirts and this is great for spicing up your fall wardrobe. We'll need two old shirts, a rotary cutter, or scissors, pins, chalk or a pencil, a cutting board, or a piece of cardboard. First layout your shirts and decide which one you want to be on the front.
A cutting board or piece of cardboard between the layers of your shirt to make sure that you don't cut all the way through. Draw a line from the right of the collar to the left armpit. Cut from along the line and then down to the bottom of the shirt. With the shirt open cut, along the right side, behind the right arm and across the right shoulder. This is the front piece.
Now get the board in the second shirt, mark from the left of the collar to the right armpit. Cut along the line and down the side. You can cut the collar off now if you want. Again I am going to cut all the way up the seam around the arm and across the shoulder. Align the front and back to and you may have to snip a little bit, so the shoulders are the same width. And then flip around, so you can pin good side to good side, the armpit, the back of the arm, and the top of the shoulder. Once you've pinned everything sew it up. For the ties of the shirt, use the fabric, you used for the front and cut off the seam, and cut into two long rectangles.
Attach the ties to the corners of your flex and sew them up. Try it on and decide where you want the inside tie to go through the shirt and pin. Sew it up about an inch and a half around the pin. Sew on the edges of your gap to resecure the stitching and you are done. So you can either put a knot or if you like to you can add appliqué or any other decoration. Rob Czar: We should've eaten that cake today, we should be dead. I am going to change death's plan and death is pissed.
