Hi, I'm Natalie also known as the Liquid Muse. As a cocktail book author, blogger, and mixologist, I'm always looking for new inspiration. Welcome to Inspired Sips with the Liquid Muse.
Today we’re making the Apricot Gingeriny which is found in my book Preggatinis Mixology for the mom’s to be. This recipe is found in the first trimester recipes and it’s great for someone who’s experiencing morning sickness.
We start with 2 ounces of white grape juice. Grape juice is very healthy and it’s have a lot of folic acid as well. It’s good for first trimester drinking. The next ingredient is 3 ounces of apricot juice. Apricot is also very soothing for the tummy. There’s 3 ounces of that. Next we’re putting 1 ounce of ginger infused simple syrup. Now simple syrup is merely sugar water. Ginger is great for nausea. And there's a recipe for ginger infuse simple syrup in the book as in very easy to make. Finally, we’re putting a little pinch of clove. And clove is one of those natural home remedy which maybe your grandmother told you about is really good for upset tummy. We’re going to put this all in our preggatinis shaker which can be bought at theliquidmuse.com by the way. We’re going to give it a shake. And strain it into our preggatinis martini glass.
So easy to make. And if we’re just feeling like you're not feeling 100% up snap in your first trimester of pregnancy, this drink will be a soothing relief for your tummy and your baby to be. Cheers!
