How to Make an Emotional Hip Hop Beat

All right. what’s up guys and this is baby production and I’m going to show you how to make a nice hip hop beat. Nice emotional hip hop beat. So first of all as you can see here, I’m using a piano, using an orchestra which a plug in and basically I’m trying to make music, so watch me and hope you enjoy it. [Demonstration] Basically I want to set this to more barres, so I’m going to spread it over here. And now the creation comes in. So I’ll clone that down, I’ll turn it into a piano. [Demonstration] As you can see I’m just making this melody. Right, I’m quite happy with that. This is what we have got. [Demonstration] All right, I’ll make another keyboard. Let’s get in here. [Demonstration] There we go. So this is an emotional hip hop beat that I’m making as you can see. Right and that’s going to be the actual melody, this is just a quick beat I’m showing you and now into our drum pattern. Drum pattern will be size eight. I’m just going to go and select some kicks and snares and stuff. [Demonstration] Okay, so I’m just going to select basic kicks. So that is just a quick 538 I’m just checking, so that sounds go together and then to give it quite well. High hats very important and a perc, we’ll have a African drum. So let’s get this beat making. First let’s put the snare in there, so here we go. We’ll have a kick like this, like so. I’ll have that there and there and there like that. I don’t want this clip. I’ll add that in a minute. Let me just check this beat and see if it sounds okay. [Demonstration] I just changed the kick. So let’s just put this into the beat and see how does it sound, okay I’m going to play the melody with the kick. [Demonstration] As you can see it is very easy to make a hip-hop beat using Fruity loops, and I like this type of music, emotional music if you know what I mean.
