Hi, I am Sandy with A-floral and today we are going to make a decorations using the little fresh flower igloo and you could see why it is called an igloo it looks just like one. This is kind of neat little contraption. If you look at back its got two holders so you can hang it either way or you can even suspended it up side down and you are asking where would you do that.
How about in the door way at Christmas time for a kissing ball or at a wedding for kissing ball would not that nice or you could put the splat up against the wall put in on the doorway as an entrance or what I like to use is were is to put then a cake as a cake topper.
It is inexpensive holder and it is contained in their so you are will not having any problem with your fresh flower foam leaking out. So let us just make a little decoration that we might put on top of the cake. We going to start with our greens always, because you can get the shape of the design that you want with the greens. It is inexpensive and it is beautiful and every flower has a leaf and every leaf is green. So why not start out with those greens.
And just lost of little pieces you can see I am cutting the bakers fern with the design knife. This is quite sharp so you want to be careful, it cuts these stems very nicely so you have no damage to the fern itself so that will help that live at last longer. You notice that we are pulling off all the leaves that will stick in to the foam because what you really want is a very small hole, the smaller the hole the better. So now you can see we have got a little igloo with lots of greens. I have chosen some daisies to put into it and we do not want this too high because it will going to be the top of our cake we do not want to like to look like fireworks going of to the top of the cake. It is just a nice decoration or you could use this for a small centerpiece on a coffee table or an individual centerpiece for each person who is attending your party.
Again, I used three, three in the middle three around the bottom and we will put one up in the top. Now will fill in ways some buds because you want to be able to use the entire stem of fresh flowers. And so you have to be able to use the buds as well as the full blown flowers. Put a couple of buds in to fill in and then how about a little babies breath. Maybe you will put this on the edge of a cake for a baby shower. We also said you can put this on trays if you are serving dessert on a tray one would not that be beautiful and give this to someone to take home at the end of the event.
It would make a beautiful little centerpiece they can keep it for a week remind them to water it and how quick and easy we can make an arrangement with this little oasis igloo. Enjoy.
