How to Make an Old Fashioned Cocktail

How are you doing? We’re at Monkey Bar and my name is Joseph Boroski. I'm going to make you an Old Fashioned.

So we are going to start off by throwing a wedge of orange in a glass. I’m going to grab my trusty muddler. If you need to use a back of a spoon or something at home, you could do that. I’m just going to smash that up a little. So we’re going to throw a sugar cube in there. I've got a cherry—I've got these cherries that are actually cherries soaked in brandy. Hey, any way to add more liquor, you know what I mean? Smash it up.

Now, it is called an Old Fashioned and it was considered the first cocktail by a lot of people, but it is kind of a guy drink to be honest with you. Just fill it up with ice. And then, I'm going to take some bourbon, add about two ounces. Add a little bit of water, put in a straw, stir it up nicely. We don’t want to shake this drink. It’s a nice delicate drink.
