All right guys, not to steal anything from youtube media here but all credits go to my dad made this video. I’m going to attempt to make my own icon in power point. I’ll probably use that as my avatar from now because mine is just a picture of me playing golf, so let me go and maximize this. I’m just going from the top of my head, I don’t remember exactly what he said but I know I’m supposed to delete this. What I’m going to do is delete this shape and here is a relatively good looking shape.
All right, now that one is—great, I turned the oval and hold down shift in order to make it a perfect circle, so go ahead and I know its going to big because I’m cool. All right, right click it and go to foreign shape and this is where I will create my wall credit. So I’m going to hit gradient fill and I’ll just drag this off to the side so you can see it better. First of all, click gradient fill because it looks cool like that. You can change whatever angle, just to give it that certain appearance. That’s cool, that’s just for show and we will go ahead and choose a color, my favorite is right there. Let’s see what colors, gold, that’s fine in lime color and I use a 3D something with shadow before—all right, well we’re going to add a shadow to make it pop out and make the size of it a little bigger. That’s huge.
That’s a decent sized shadow, blur it a lot because that will make it look like shadow. Now that’s acceptable, so now we’re going to—I want to put a textbox on it right? This will—you know it will be my initial say, MKB right? So we’ll move it close and insert a text box just there and I’m going to type MKB, very, very simple right? I’m going to format that, so right click and format, so now on your text box I want it to be—lets just leave it horizontal, leave it in the middle, right now and it has to be bigger as we know. So lets change the font, I think word has to something with this, so if I can find like a little design with a—I can do word art.
Where I can I do word art, here we go, yes that will stand out right? There we go, so we’ll just leave this, good and drag it to the middle. Of course the font is not big enough for us, so we’re going to make it humongous, no that not big enough to fit our circle, so we’re going to shrink that down a bit. And just save that, that’s a pretty poor image right there. That is going to be my—I guess my avatar if I can figure out how to do that. So I’m going to save it, well first actually give me a second, I will come back to you and try to figure out how to save this as a bigger image, so I’ll be right back.
All right, I’m back and here’s how I’m going to add a backing on this—the actual circle. So I’m going to insert into shape and this one’s going to be in rectangle and going to just drag it down to a good size, looks good to me. And I’m going to format and sent it to the back, so that this shape is in the back and this shape is on the front, center of the thing, make sure nothing looks good. So here’s the entire icon, it’s not perfect but its amateurish. My fill color, it would be cool if we have it a little—well it’s a little dull isn’t it? How about this, nope all is cool, this one, that’s decent but it’s not dark enough, so shape fill, make a little darker. Now that’s not monotonous, shape fill will be a shade of green because that’s just cool.
Also if you want to format this shape, you can do so just by right clicking it again and clicking the format shape. I’ll choose gradient fill again and I will put a little preset colors but where’s my little moss, all right, whatever. Lime color, lime color is just basically this outside color you see here, not a big deal. It will be a solid more gradient line, whatever. Lines will make it a little thicker and give it a shadow. This is important to make it stick out from where you saw it. The same shades of color under this circle, so I’m going to make this one under the circle as well, under the square as well. The smaller size, make it all blur and there’s my icon, I think I did good with the 3D format, I could change it if I really wanted to make it stick you know out vertically towards whoever’s doing it.
That look good right now, now to bring this into paint, we’re going to have this selected and we’re going to our print screen button on the keyboard which I just pressed. Hopefully it will work, I’m going to open up page with the second there is paint, sorry if the audio goes on and off, it has the tendency to do that. I’m going to go paste my image there, so what I want to do now is I want everyone to crop this image out. This image needs to be heightened this one by itself. To do this, so I’m going to do is image, crop, I’m going to drag hopefully now, better drag this cropped there right there. Now I’m going to select all and I’m going to crop that, see if this works.
Crop it vertically and if I can drag this somehow, sorry I’ll come back when I’m done cropping this.
All right, I finished cropping my image, so I’m going to do is edit. I will file and save this image. I will just put it as my icon in my pictures and I’m going to edge this out, I don’t need it anymore. I’m going to go to youtube page I can insert this, so I’m just going to click on the name and I’m going to find my settings. Hopefully we’ll see—hold on a second. Now to do this, two more and hit the change button and I’m going to choose a file from my pictures folder, here it is, open and its uploading the image, so lets save changes. Wait for it, it will save your changes and that is how you create that as your image for youtube, subscribe, thanks for watching, peace.
