How to Makeover a High School Teachers Lounge

Lisa Quinn: Our high school teacher’s launch is finally complete but before we show you how awesome it looks right now let’s take one last look at the way it was at the beginning of our show. For the depressing of our teachers this is where they have eat there lunch, hang out between classes and miss mix furniture, the dingle walls and it really made for a pretty depressing place for our teachers. Will take a look at it now, we have made some incredible changes in here. Let’s talk about some of the things that we fold together to get this look. It’s a big room and we’re probably got like 20x40 here. So we wanted to do different areas so over here we decided to do a storage area, this packs units are great because they’re close door and you can put everything you need in there and they’re shut the door and you can use paw cabinets in there and you can use drawers and you can shelves and it’s modular and all of the storage is going to need right here in this corner. We also worn to make a little reading room so we’ve run in this nice comfortable chair and playing it with this really book cases and a lot of close or storage down here too but a nice little area for them to put there books and have a reading area. The teacher’s specifically wanting it an area where they could work. And they also want a little privacy, it’s a big open space and if you got to work you do need some privacy so what we decided to do is bring in this small desk and then what we did is we put this book cases in between them. Once again you got extra storage right here but the book cases themselves work as wall so everybody can have a little of there privacy. Now, teachers love to have a little fun and sit probably so we decided to put in two different sitting areas. Caroline was telling us that sometimes up to 25 features are in the same time so want different areas. We brought in two leather sofas and four leather chairs. Leather is really important here because more spacing and work situations you might be as clean and need as you are home we wanted to make sure this room look nice and neat for years to come, the teacher’s eat in here and the kitchen wasn’t complete with lamp before so we decided to rip that all that old cabinet tray and we replace it with this pre-standing unit right here. Also I put in the shelf so that neither they place for this coffee cups got that extra microwave of off the table tops so there is a little bit more work space and got this great little cups to put all the silverware, really there is kind of a place for every thing and everything in it’s place which is going to make things a lot smoother when people are trying to make there lunches and got a place to eat the lunch too so we brought in all this table. We’ve got little stainless steel out of here but this is my favorite part of the room. The teachers are going to eat there lunches here but they also have conferences so what we did is brought in this gallant desk and what is so cool about this particular desk is in there own casters. So right now they set up which we see now a pretty nice set up for launches but if they wanted to have a conference you can very easily move this tables around into a U shape, into a square and pretty much anything they want to do in this room and they can now finally do. We decided to brush up the color a little bit too if you remember for the floor this is kind of nasty depressing gray and we decided to bring in this beautiful aqua marine tone from Kelly Moore, Joe of course from Varsity Painting did the amazing job as usual and Conquer Assembly of course as usual came and save the day and put all this furniture together. I think the room looks great, I think it’s a nice so aces for some hardworking teachers but more importantly we want to find out what they think so we re going to give in right now. You guys ready? Got a surprise for you, come on in and take a look. Once it set and done the teachers come in and see what a big transformation we’ve made, it’s really makes it all worthwhile it’s been a tuff week but you know what Peter’s have a tuff job too and he really deserve a nice way this place to relax and I think we’re able to do it for. For those of you that didn’t really understand what is going down we to a television program called Dream Home, Caroline request for this three years ago. So, we’re just now finally get around to do it but it’s really kind of here for you know going and get it that actually got us here. She’s also been bringing us goodies every day we may never leave, we may actually never ever leave. Oh I’m all excited about this, this is great. This people were insanely nice, so grateful and I would do it all over again. Thank you and was a really fun job and teachers work so hard and we just want that you have a nice little oasis and we even covered up the window so I don’t know what you guys going to be in here throwing down anything but you got some privacy now.
