How to Manage Springtime Allergies

Prianka Kapur: Well, Gloria that's a great question. Spring time allergies are often one of the most common complains we get from our patients and tree pollens are generally the ones that are out and about during the spring time.

Things that you can do besides taking medicines like pills and nasal sprays, would include environmental controls. So, checking the pollen counts on the news every morning, whether it's going to be a high pollen count day or a low pollen count day.

Also, trying to avoid being outside during the peak pollen hours which are usually in the morning. Also, you can try closing your windows so as to prevent pollen from coming inside the house and also you could take the nasal sprays or the antihistamines if you do have to be outside.
