How to Measure Flour Measuring flour is a simple task but there are distinct steps you should be taking in order to insure accuracy. Use a dry measure, not a liquid measure. And don’t use your measure as a scoop. That will compact the flour. Scoop your flour into your dry measure. Then using the back side of your knife, level if off and that will give you the most accurate measure for flour.
