Alright folks, Jonathan here. This video is all about how to mix Trans Music. This is possibly along awaited video for quite a few people out there.
Well, in a sense mixing Trans Music, mixing House, mixing Techno Trans Electro, Folk, Hip Hop, Ray Groove, it is all relatively similar because of course you have to mix in time, bpm and also in key and the tunes going to like matched, relatively wealthy of that.
The difference is that what would it make you differences? Let us say with regards to Trans and if you put on the house music, for example funky house, you have got a funky bass line and if I was to draw our picture of a tune of House Music and I was to draw an actual line.
The line would be, it would be like this, it would be all over the places so, who ever actually drew that line was pist. For here to be negative or nasty but I am doing a comparison at between Trans Music if there is someone going to drawing a line or a picture, it would be a smooth flowing line.
The reason being is because in the likes of say funky house, you got a chuggy, happy bass line
(Bass Sounding)
All over the place. Trans music, it is more the actual bass line which is cut off in the emphasis of the trunk is continual flowing supply of music and it will peak, it will fall, it was stay constant, it rise, fall again. See, you have got this almost flowing feel.
Now again, like I have said in the past and that is when you are constructing a mix, sometime it is good to maybe mix one track halfway to the first track and maybe mixed the third tract halfway to the second track. The difference is the Trans Music is that each individual track is almost made to be played and its entirety and you should then mix the next tracking at the later part of the first track.
The whole idea with making a good Trans Mix is to almost find individual tracks that will work well together next to each other. Now, if you can imagine a Trans track of that long. Now, if you can imagine it peaks and drop, etc. The whole idea of getting a good Trans set together is,
That is one track. Now, let us settle the seven that is ten. What you were doing is your making those ten tracks almost act as if they are one continual track. In other words, the first tract maybe stops like so. The second tract will lift third track, will lift fourth, will lift fifth maybe will get slightly. The six will lift, the 7th deeps slightly, eight deep, nine deep, ten, stay to constant, eleven start to rise, twelve start to rise which is near of exactly what will happened in one trans track.
You have rises and falls, you have Crescendo, you have places were people put a hands in the air, that is one of the ideas about getting a good sets, good Trans, a good trans set together.
What I am going to do now, we will do a bit of a mix, looks to the side of the video at the actual track listing and I got this, I downloaded them from djdownload.com so if you want the tracks, you can get them from there.
So, what will do now, I will pause the camera and have the actual closer look at the actual mixer and you can see what I am doing. Now, will be concentrating on mainly is sort of the bass line or the bass make off a little bit but this is a bit of a demonstration. So, let’s have a listen and watch.
Okay, first of all, let us have a listen to this track here.
(Techno-Music)
Now you can hear, it is a very pumping, vivy sound from literally from the word GO.
(Techno-Music)
It is relatively faster the normal House Music. It is a lot faster than the likes of Soul and R&B and Hip Hop unless it is been destructive for.
