All right folks, this is going out to Aimee girl who asked a question, where about to start bringing in the song you are mixing in on the one?
Now that we are talking about buzz as in 1, 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 3, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3 with out going into depth in bars on this tutorial, I suggest you go back, have a look at the others and you will know what I am all about.
Aimee girl it is simply this, it is you choice. You do not have to bring it in on the 1 as in 1. 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, you do not have to bring it in on the two as in 1. 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, it is 50% your choice. Use your ears; it is 50% around the music. If the music on the track that is playing is really high, there is a lot going on, along this guy there is a lot going on then step back, wait a while. Wait till there is less going on here and then bring this one in. Vice versa, you will see a lot of professional Deejays; they will twig about the bass, treble, mid. What they are actually doing is that they are playing the track here, the track is playing there are bringing this one in.
What we are actually doing is that almost incorporating a third song in the middle. There is almost a third song playing that is why they are doing this, they are blending. They are not just going from this side straight to the other side. There is a smooth mix, maybe of ten seconds, twenty seconds, and thirty seconds. And in that gap, in that time there is a third song being played, that is what is happening. They are not bringing it in on the 1, 2, 3 or 4, they maybe just up tiny but half way this guy. And then maybe three quarters of the way back down again, and then before they bring it in again, they take the base away and they slowly bring it up. Bring it back down, put the bass back up, put it up the volume up again, bring it back down, maybe they will take it middle way. Because what they do they are listening to this song and this song is telling them, this track here maybe a bit more mend, bit more bass, bit less or bit more.
It is all about listening, it is fine tuning. It is organizing a third song in the middle to coincide with the one that is playing on the one that in bringing in. So I will try and do just that for you right now. We will put this record on, we will blend this one in and we will get a third song in the middle. Let us see what happens, there is two in the volume of the microphone off. Here we go.
(Music Playing)
So that is what I did basically, I had one playing, I was messing around here. That was a bit of a quick one, messing around; you know messing with the bass, mid, treble. I brought in anywhere. If I did that mix again it would be no where near exactly the same as the first time I did it. If I did it a hundred times, it would never be exactly the same. No Deejays are exactly the same. That is the beauty about being you. You have got to be different. Thank you for watching. Do not forget www.DeejayTutor.com. It is on 20th of January 2007.
