Hi, I’m Julie Hasson. Welcome to Everyday Dish TV.
We are going to make a breakfast shake today which is a great way to start the day. And full of nutrients really delicious in feeling and something that you can with you on the go. Now this recipe comes to use via the survivors handbook from the cancer project which dedicated to cancer prevention through education. Awesome organization and this is their recipe for a breakfast shake, also known as a breakfast smoothie.
So to begin with, we are going to blend together. We have some vanilla hemp milk and I love hemp milk. I don’t know if you’ve tried it but it’s something that you should really try. It’s just, it’s a fun you know change from having soya milk every day and it’s full of omega-3 fatty acids, omega-3 and 6 fatty acids. And its calcium fortified, it’s really good for you and tasty. So we have our hemp milk, you can add it in there.
We have some frozen raspberries and these are great because they are so full of fiber and they’re low calorie, and they taste really good. Also full of anti-oxidants so we’re going to put that in there. We’re going to add a little bit of orange juice concentrate which has been thought so just like, you know, the kind that you get in the freezer section at the market and you could look for organic that would be a good way to go too. But I guess it does a nice orange flavored punched to it.
And then we’re going to add a banana and the banana makes it really creamy. And actually the frozen fruit in there makes it really thick so it’s a nice combination and almost taste like there is ice cream in it, and there’s not. Okay, so we’ve got our banana and then let’s see if you want to, if like things a little sweeter, you could add a tablespoon or two of pure maple syrup, or you could add just a little squeeze of a Garvey sweetener organic, a Garvey sweeter so I’m just going to add a little bit.
And we are going to blend this up in my favorite blender, my vita-mix. This machine does everything it’s pretty amazing. So we’re going to blend this up until it’s smooth. Let’s see if I can do this backwards.
I’m done, that’s why I really love about this blender it just smooth it out so quickly its also good for blending, perfect. Okay, and then we have our milk shake last because you have to feel special when you had your smoothie. So we’re going to our it into a milk shake glass. This is also a great breakfast for kids especially picky kids. Just don’t tell them what you’re putting in there and they’ll think they’re getting a milk shake, a pink milk shake for breakfast.
So I’ve got that right there and I’m going to get a straw and that is your breakfast smoothie. Very easy breakfast shake, very easy, delicious, so nutritious for you and for this recipe and many, many other fabulous recipes, visit EverydayDish.TV and we will also include a link on the recipe to the cancer project so you can go visit the cancer project for more information on their great organization.
