Agency’s websites are great tools. It is what getting more models direct booking which are bookings that do not intellicosting. So, it is great. It is how I do a lot of my work. I do not actually have to go to a casting. They can actually just get a digital file or they will send them my cards.
So agencies will upload your card to their database and then when a client wants someone, they will send it out and they will use the website and they will also post all your pictures on the website and all of that. So they will say, “Hey, go to the website, choose the people you want.”
So it is an excellent way. I think anywhere from a $50.00 to $200.00 for an agency website is fair. Anything more than that I will start the question. If it is a thousand dollar, well you could build your own website for a thousand dollars. You build your own website for a lot and less than that.
So, if it is anything over the $200.00 range, I would start the question. I have paid as much $250.00 but that was because it was for the life the website. I did not have to pay a yearly renewal and I new I was going to be there for a long period of time. Should you pay $250.00 if someone comes? Probably not. I would say, “You know what I rather hold off on the website for now and start looking some work and then I will pay off from once I start broking work. And if they are not okay with that, then that is telling you right there because agencies rapid agencies do not care. They would like to get you out there, but if you do not have the money, they will understand.
