Now you get to You Tube, youtube.com. It is a great video sites and I search for kittens. I can add quick search at key word and I can type kitty and I can type Y. Here is a whole bunch of kitten videos, so let us try them on Google. I am on google.com and I feel like clicking up on kittens. I type Y then just type kittens and it will give me a bunch of kittens.
What about view counter and other stuff like that? Can I still see them like this there is no right click, add keywords for view count. So, what if I want to arrange the results, by view count, there is a result by view count. You right click, you click the button here and it is going to be arranged by view. Now, you need the core URL and I am going to copy the URL up here. This has kind of beginning to be complicated so just follow me and it will actually seem a little bit easier.
It does not matter if you get it at first or not. So, I right click You Tube and I paste here the URL I just got and I am going to replace. I am going to replace the word kittens with percent and S. That is all I have to do. On recap, after clicking view count, I click Ctrl B in Bookmarks. I right click You Tube. I changed the word kittens to percent S and then I just click okay.
So, if you follow those instructions, you will be okay. So, again on the Google, I type Y kittens and now it orders by view count. It works great. You can also add for like, stocks and stuffs finance.google.com. I add keyword search. I am not going to go through that again.
The next thing I want to show you is for those of you on mail.yahoo.com. Usually when you sign in to sites, you type the name, password, click log-in and usually it asks you do you want to remember the sign in information. In this case, it did not and that is because some sites have an auto complete feature that basically says do not save passwords.
To the disable this feature, let us go to Google. Now, let us type, always remember password firefox and I am going to go to the second JimmyR.com site and I am going to click this free firefox bookmarklet sites and this is going to open a new Window or something and it is going to have a remember passwords link.
This is kind of funky. It is a weird thing to do but I basically click this and I drag it on to my toolbar, allow no option. Where is it? Remember passwords. We are going to always remember passwords. It is a script. I am going to drag this script onto my bookmarks.
Now, when I go to yahoo, mail.yahoo.com, if I click here first it say “It remove the auto complete feature” so basically now it is going to ask me if I want to save this password. It is very easy to add, simple trick that is extremely useful especially if you want to be secure and have long passwords.
Now, the next trick I want to show you is the video downloader. Let us go to Google.com, type video downloader and this video downloader, you can add the extension right here. Just click install extensions down here and click install when you are ready or you can add the URL but basically, you can paste the new URL or use the extension and it will let you download movies from You Tube, Google video and other stuff. It is also very useful.
Thanks for listening to this tutorial, furnish tutorial from JimmyR.com.
