Well welcome back. I’m a few days since my trip now and getting quite brand and peacefully as you can probably see. Tonight, I’m on a headline with the little old windmill which are really nice and that we got a lovely view in the back of us of Gamba Bay.
Now what I’m going to do, I’m going to try to shot that really one of the old windmills. I want to bit look clean, clean in composition. So I’m going to shoot the bay background and the windmill separately and strip them back together. That’s the plan but here also I can have a bit more control of the exposure.
And because we’re shooting windmill in natural location, we shouldn’t have too many problems with combining it together. What I need to make sure of this, when I do my background picture, once the camera sets up I’m going to then lock it all down so there’s not much difference between the background shot and the foreground shot, the windmill in terms of the camera height and also lens focal length.
So that’s the plan, I’ll give a little two rounds as you normally do and we’ll see, yes we’ll see what things we can get done and then light are in the hectic sign version. I’ll show the retouching of the shot.
Okay, so we found, we don’t have a few first set of expression for the background and the foreground. I’ve shot them like a panoramic so we can stitch a couple of this together because this going to be quite a widest shots. And the sun has dropped behind the mountains. I’m going to the same shots again. Once the light has dropped a little further so we can get this ambient lights showing up through on the tunnel there.
So what we’ll go is just wait around there probably another 20 minutes half an hour and let's start shooting again. So beautiful evening and just fantastic lights and that’s what is all about.
Welcome back to Part 2 of our turkey trip. In this image, we went upon the upon the independent of the headland of the Gamba bay and shot this beautiful old windmills. And I’ve done a bit of this area lots of times I new the shot I’ve wanted but I’ve never see that be enough to the actual location.
So I see with the dawn shot, I’ll got up there and plenty of time and just have a nice and relaxing time enjoying the change in light and a mostly had a plenty of time to set up and work out my angles in a shot. I new what is lasting on my mind the shot that I wanted but quite often what you got in your mind and what you can actually work with when you get to the location miles apart.
So, yes, that’s my first advice to you if you get on this location. Just get a plenty of times, your not rushing and just say, enjoy the moment. Now the cover of the windmills here, you’ll see in the middle were a bit ran down, I think I would be adding to the shot. So what it is do is to complete the redo the landscape of the shot and I'm going to take out these censors to windmills and also these tuner background, we just leave this foreground windmill and the one that’s to be renovated there. And that also provides a nice, cleaner composition and we’re also going to raise the background up to show a bit more of the bay. So we’re going to be completely redoing the landscape here. And another reason for shooting the panoramic was on the windmill shot, it’s quite tight because behind me, there’s a bit of a drop and I couldn’t really move back any further. I would like to, I would like to move back further, use a slightly longer focal lens to avoid too much distortion but there is a bit distortion on this front image and we’ll correct that in post production.
Now at this point you’re probably thinking, well why not just stick on a wide lens and got more of the location in and more of the windmills?
