Female Speaker: Hey clean House friends; here is a helpful tip from Goto Guy Matt Iseman
Matty, so may times pets can be a big problem, especially when it comes to odor in the floor. You can take the furniture out, and change the curtains up. What do you do about the floor?
Matt Iseman: Well, with pets or even water damage, sometimes it gets so bad, your only choice is to replace the floor, but sometimes that's not enough, because it might not just be in the hardwoods or in the carpet or the carpet pad. It can actually penetrate to the subfloor. That's why when you take out your old flooring, it's important to treat the subflooring.
A good solution is to start with is three parts water, one part vinegar. Now if there are pet odors, sometimes you need to take an extra step and that is to use an enzymatic odor remover. This actually attacks the pet odors that are in there and eliminates them.
Then give it at least 24 hours to dry out thoroughly. Put your new carpet down, your new flooring down. It smells like roses.
Female Speaker: Wow!
