Too much clutter in those kitchen cabinets and drawers, a little organization will go a long way. Are you’re dishes stacked treacherously like this, you’re asking for trouble. But I’ve got some great solution, we’re going to arrange this cabinet so things can be stored safely and in organized way.
Now we’ve added some extra shelving to this cabinet so that if we needed dinner plate, we don’t have to dig through the salad plates to get to it. We’ve also been able to put our like things together, mugs together, and glasses together and we’ve stored things that we don’t use that frequently up higher in what I liked to call long-term storage.
This is where this family sets these items and that’s great because it’s near the stove but it doesn’t stack very nicely. It’s a jumbled mess. This is a great rack that you can literally just set inside the bottom of your cabinet and it helps to organize those odd shapings like muffin pans or cookie sheets. We’ve added extra shelves over here and again we’ve grouped like things together. This is essential for good organization.
Alright, there is one more area we have to talk about. You know, you have it. I have it. We all have it—it’s the junk drawer.
First clear out the junk, group like items together—keys, rubber bands, paperclips and put everything in an inexpensive drawer divider. They come in all different sizes. Each of these items now has its own little compartment and inside this great drawer organizer. Let’s not forgot the directories and a phone book and a take out menu is very important. Remember an organized kitchen has lots of fun to work in. I’m professional organizer Liz Witts.
