Hi, everybody this is a video on my 72-hour survival kit and basically I‘m going to be showing you some of the components of my system.
I do have another video on my everyday carry survival tactical bag. I won’t be showing you that, so if you want to see that video check out my other videos.
Basically, what I’m going to be showing you is in this large Alice pack back here and a few other items, and this is basically what it looks like mostly packed of that’s my Glock 19 it’s my defensive hand gun I guess you could also use it for hunting and whatever.
So, basically I'm going to be showing you what’s in the large Alice bag. This bag is my EDC bag and that you can see in another one of my videos. Okay, so this is what I keep in my large Alice bag right here and like I said that pack is just one component of my survival system.
Check out my other videos on my defensive hand gun and my EDC tactical bag. That bag also has a basic wilderness survival kit of which I also have a video on, but this is basically what I keep in the Alice bag.
Well, first I’ll start with the food. I have a lot of different food here. Basic military MRAs, some camping type food. I’ve got some beef jerky and like a sealed package and some candies for sugar.
To cook that food I would use this stove. It’s very lightweight and small. I’ve used it a lot. It’s very good. Here is like mess tin that fits over the can tin. This can tin is like a US style mess tin with a silverware. Also, if the stove is out of fuel or something I have this I think they’re called compress trioxane like fuel bars and those were pretty good or you can just use a basic camp fire.
In this small pouch I have petroleum jelly, saturated cotton balls which is a perfect homemade tender. I also have a video on that if you’d like to see about that. Over here, I have my boots, my hat, a large Kershaw survival knife with the nice hard chief. It’s made in D2 steel. I love that knife. You can chop wood, do whatever you need to with it. Also, I have a key bar fighting knife which is a very good knife.
Over here I have a JPS, a long lay flashlight with an extra battery. It’s not extremely bright but it last a long, long time. Also, binoculars, candles, a small first aid kit that you can, it has a clip you can actually hook in on to your bell or whatever, a bandana, a bug repellant.
Over here I have another can tin it’s a two core collapsible can tin and actually as you know water is probably the most important survival thing that you would need. Bungee cords for securing items to my pack, an emergency tube tent, a small towel and a water proof bag.
Here I have my compass pouch with my compass, small switch army knife and the sharpening stone two sided. Here I have a very thick emergency blanket it’s not disposable. It’s pretty small and compact though. I definitely have this with me on the winter time because you can do lots of things like make a shelter and keep warm and signal with it.
Also, I have some spare clothing, underwear, a shirt, socks. Over here I have my bathroom kit, toothbrush, soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, deodorant, small mirror, everything you would need.
That looks to be basically it. Obviously, with the right knowledge and the right skills you can make this stuff last a lot longer than 72 hours. 72 hour kit is just the generic term I guess.
If you know —I forgot about this, a mosquito net. It’s also for my shelter. Like I said you could definitely make this stuff last a lot longer than 72 hours.
And one again if you feel that there’s anything important I’m missing from this kit it’s probably in my EDC bag which also contains my basic survival kit. That’s just the glimpse of the bag, so there’s a lot of other things and if you think something is missing.
Also, check out my other videos on my glock hand gun. I have a video on the homemade tender, the cotton and petroleum and my EDC bag and thank you for watching.
