When you can’t be with that special someone, a care package is a sweet way to send your love.
Equal care should be taken to ship those goodies, knowing how to pack and ship your gifts goes a long way to or getting then to their destinations intact and on time.
First, seal all perishable items in an air tight container or plastic bag before packing them. Next, select a new box specifically designed for shipping and wrap each item in bubble cushioning, surrounded by at least two inches of packaging peanuts.
Include a hand written card or note for an extra personal touch. It’s also a good idea to place a duplicate shipping label inside your package in case the outer label gets thorned or damaged.
Seal the box using a strong tape, two inches or more in width such as plastic packaging tape. Apply tape to both the top and bottom of the box so the three seams are sealed.
Consider sending your treats and expedited shipping methods to avoid spoilage. Make sure your gift recipients will be in town to receive their tasty treats.
