Leila: Hi, welcome to WatchMojo.com. I'm your host Leila. People always tend to pick out something when they're packing. Today I will provide you with the basic checklist for what to bring on your carry-on. Let's start with the obvious. Always carry some cash and your important identification cards and credit cards.
If you want to capture memories of your trip, take your camera and your carry-on so it doesn’t get broken in your luggage and print any relevant information like hotel reservations or your e-ticket in advance to keep them handy. These items will help your trip more enjoyable. Airplanes are cold so bring a warm sweater and the air is usually dry so bring some lip balm.
For longer flights, bring some reading material or perhaps some music. If you're planning on catching any sleep, bring an eye mask and in case the person beside you talks too much or too loud, they’ll be happy to have some ear plugs. To keep your ears from popping during take off and landing, bring something to suck up.
Remember your carry-on is not only for the flight itself. It’s also for any event that your luggage gets lost or you’re making unexpected overnight pit stops somewhere. Bring an entire extra outfit including an extra pair of socks and extra underwear. Don’t forget your toothbrush, toothpaste and any vitamins and medication you take regularly.
Follow these steps. Hopefully you won’t forget anything and you’ll have an enjoyable flight.
