Hi my name is John Delton and I am a professional painter. I also call myself an Advance Liquid Material Application Specialist. We get paid more because of that. And I just want to show you the quickest way to a professional quality job.
Here is a situation where we have some old, probably, 8 to 10 year old paint job, nicked up wood. What we are going to do first is fill that with any mixing dints, you fill it with a putty knife and some of this orange stock spackle right here, very quick and efficient. Let that dry for a little bit, probably on that holes, fill those all the little dints, fill those.
Then you take an orbital sander, these are great. Then you are ready for priming.
The quickest way to prime is a mixture of brushes and rollers, some of the rollers are getting very small and they are very effective, let me show you. Now that is a four-inch roller, perfect for a situation like this. So, what I do is I roll like this very quickly. And then, I take a good quality brush and then smooth it over just so as nice and even and makes how flat that looks and you can even sneak it up there as well. That is very quick and efficient.
Okay, now the primers have gotten great because they dry quickly, this will dry in an hour in a nice sunny day and as soon as that happens, you do the same thing with the finished coat.
I recommend the latex because it resists mildew and that looks great. So just do that exactly what I did with the primer and you have a professional quality job.
So, installation—fill with the crack, smooth out with the sander orbital and then you use a combination of a roller and a nice brush. Thank you.
