Female Speaker: Hey Clean House fans, here is your 30-second tip from GoTo Guy, Matt Iseman.
Female Speaker: I have a room with wallpaper that I don't like anymore. How can I change it?
Matt Iseman: Well, a couple of ways to take down wallpapers, but if it's actually paper as oppose to vinyl or textured, you can paint over wallpaper. The key is to make sure that you sand down any scene with the very fine sandpaper and then remove all the dust, so it's smooth. Use a blocking primer so that the colors or pattern don't bleed through and then put up any paint you like and it look as good as this wall.
Female Speaker: Wow!
Female Speaker: Hey Clean House fans, here is your 30-second design tip from Mark Brunetz.
Female Speaker: Mark, I want to paint one wall in my room, like an accent wall. Do you have any tips?
Mark Brunetz: I love accent walls, because they instantly add a splash of color to any room, but one better, vertical stripes. Measure out the wall, use a chalked plum line to make sure your stripes are perfectly vertical, then alternate colors, peel the tape off and voila!
Female Speaker: I love it and vertical stripes make a room look taller.
Mark Brunetz: Right.
