Rebecca: Peanut butter and jelly, cookies and milk, some things are just made to go together, and today we are learning about another pairing which is destined for greatness. Hi I'm Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com and today I am speaking with Ingrid Stiemer and Mimi Cukier about chocolate and yoga. First thing can you describe the workshop for formula of it.
Mimi: The workshop basically is an appreciation of breathing through yoga and once there is an appreciation of breathing your understanding of tasting and tasting chocolate is enhance and through the poses you also learn various of different chocolates which are energy levels and each chocolate is mix with something pure that goes with the energy level of that chocolate and you feel amazing.
Rebecca: What would you say is the aim of the workshop?
Ingrid: What it did for me was make me aware that chocolate is really good like there is good chocolate right there and then just the poses I mean I love yoga and I love bringing people in to yoga to really understand what yoga really is. It’s not just another exercise. The first pose is the tree pose, breath in through your left foot just feel relax, feel secure in that left foot and right knee and then you can either leave it here at the ankle or at the knee
Mimi: Now that have been rooted in to your first pose, your first chakra, the object just relax and then take this piece of chocolate and I want you to put it on your tongue and then bring it to the roof of your mouth and allow six seconds to use your imagination any thoughts from childhood, any thoughts from flavors that you have experience before then we go on to the next chakra.
Ingrid: Hold your feet and you are going to slide the slit bones back y leaning forward, take a deep breath and lengthen the spine and as you breath out slowly come back-up.
Mimi: You are at the point of deep breathing, your feeling of breath run through your body and you’re on to number two which is different to number one and its orange and here you go. Put it on the tip if you want another one to get the full taste. Take a moment visualize what’s inside the chocolate, what you’re feeling from the breathing. So this one is one of those you can't melt away on.
Ingrid: So bring your knee over the ankle and then deep breath and you want to breath right from here down in to your tail bone and then we bring out the arms, keep breathing.
Mimi: And then we are on to the yellow chocolate doing a tasty imagination a little. Mystery of flavors, everyone has different number of taste buds but everyone is creative and if you allow yourself to really appreciate breathing you gain this creativity in your work, in your daily life and your relationships. It just changes it really does and by doing this different tastes of chocolate with the breathing with the yoga, you wont go to there and say you know what there are so many exciting things in there
