Kevin Simms: So not everyone likes to go to the dentist, but let me tell me it's really not all that bad and here I am today with Dr. Leonard Gordon and we are going to show a few solutions to perfect your smile. I am Kevin Simms of watchmojo.com. What can you do to make me look prettier Dr. Leonard Gordon?
Dr. Leonard Gordon: Okay. So I can understand that these teeth over here are little bit forward. This tooth over here is a little bit darker for one reason or another. There was a filling in there. It maybe a tooth that might be dying, but we will have to take an X-ray and take a look at that. The first thing I would suggest it to whiten your teeth, to generally whiten your teeth.
After that what I would suggest is the ideal treatment would be to get braces on. What would braces do? Braces would even out these teeth, bring the teeth that are further back, bring them forward. This tooth over here which is rotated it would correct the rotation as well. And it would basically just even out the whole smile line. That is really the ideal treatment. Your lower teeth are perfect. It would just probably on the top teeth.
That would take anywhere from 12 to 16 months or maybe longer depending on what's wrong. Close your teeth again please. Okay.
Kevin Simms: I have been overbite I think.
Dr. Leonard Gordon: That's right. That will all be corrected with orthodontics. Orthodontics is ideal, because we are not really torching, we are not grinding anything. We will just let the wires move the teeth into the proper position.
The other thing, I call it instant orthodontics that is a little bit more aggressive, because we are actually grinding the teeth down. So for example if I wanted to bring these teeth inwards, what I can do is I can take my drill and just reduce the front surface of those teeth. Where we have it already too far back, we can put a veneer to bring that too forward a little bit.
If the tooth is too long, we can drill tooth a little bit more even. So the veneers would basically have to cover from canine to canine to give you a nice even smile. It's very difficult to just do one veneer or one crown in a smile, because we are not sure of the exact color. Only one person knows what color that is and we don't have that batch number.
