Diagonal Warm-up
Okay boys, in this next exercise we are going to introduce Change of Direction in what we have been doing. What I like to see you do is, attack that cone all four of you at the same time.
Do the stop move, and then pass it in to the next person in the line, and then a quick little sprint back to the end of your line.
Ready, play. Excellent, well done. Stop move is just performed by, stepping on the ball, hopping over it and then turning quickly and passing it into the partner. Stop early, so that you don't stop and then hop pass the cone. When a hop is such that you don't go pass the cone.
Some boys have carried the ball too far, passed the cone, so they just need to do the move earlier. Do the move earlier. Yes, quick, but earlier. Yes, earlier Kevin, yes, good ball, excellent.
