Today I am going to show you my ultimate hamstring exercise. This hamstring exercise will blow your mind at how well it focuses on your hamstrings and your glutes, way better than any hamstring machine you will ever see.
Right here we've got a flat bench, we've got a dumbbell that's turned up slightly and just on a low box just so that you can get started with this exercise by yourself. You don't need a spotter, you simply put your toes back on the dumbbell like that. Gently lay down with your knees over hang the edge of the bench by two to three inches. Drive your toes up towards the ceiling. Now here is the key with this exercise guys is absolutely focus on pinning your knees together like this, and between those knees and you don't want to slip out and that allows you to drive slowly focusing and squeezing on the hamstring. Down breathing in, nice deep stretch, blow air out, try to keep the soles of the shoes parallel to the ceiling, squeezing those knees together. Really work hard and the buns, they want to stick up in the air like that, push your pelvis down, flat, and you will get a much better squeeze on the hamstrings.
Down breathing in, nice deep stretch and blow air out. Squeeze those knees together. I'd like to look over to the right in the mirror that way if I start to see daylight underneath my pelvis I force that pelvis down and you will really be able to feel the squeeze in the hamstrings and the buns.
Just let it go when you are done. Get away and get you close to failure where you can't go and do anymore reps, in a 12 to 15 rep range, 2 to 3 sets of that exercise and I guarantee you your hamstrings will be scourged in a unique way that you never felt before. It's by far the best hamstring exercise that I have ever done.
