Hi! My name is Troy Anderson; I am the owner of Anderson Training Systems, a fitness coaching business located in Tempe, Arizona. I just want to share with you today a little kettlebell complex, its going to actually combine a couple of things that many people like use for their exercise tools and the body weight exercise and the kettlebell, it's a great exercise tool. It's going to be really long and technical demanding. So we are going to do actually a two handed kettlebell lift. It's going to be one of our explosive lifts, the high pull and then we are going to also go into a real awesome body weight drill called the Barbell Squat, thrust squat whatever you like to call it. And we are going to combine these two to make a really awesome drill.
So here is what we are going to do, I am going to grab the kettlebell here real quick. Just going to grab something relatively light for demonstration purposes, I am going to kind of show you from a profile angle here, I will just slide over here actually. So this is going to be high pull into a Barbell and then back up. So here is what it's going to look like, high pull. So as you can see in here I have definitely put in a little bit workout on those for sure. There's also lots of arm twist you can put into this, just let your imagination unveil. I actually got this drill from one of our colleagues, from Scottsdale. This is one of his favorites, and it helped to teach kettlebells to law enforcements officers yesterday.
So this is an excellent drill, you could even kind of get into nice fast workout and you can do these four times and work 30, 40, 50 seconds maybe a minute or you can do it for repetitions. A really good way might be to start with some ladders, maybe go 15 repetitions, 14, 13 down on and maybe 10 or so and that would be really good solid workout as far as getting the nice condition, energy system workout going. So this has been Troy Anderson from andersontrainingsystems.com, kettlebell high pull with squat thrust or barbell condition drill, awesome drill, give it a try. Sure stop by our website, check out our articles and our videos, we will be posting lots on a regular basis. Have a great day.
