Hey, I’m Epic and this is a tutorial for the back hand spring. First I want to demonstrate it.
[Demonstration]
Okay, there are two ways to do this. There's that way and this way where you’re turning your legs. Either way, it’s pretty much the same.
To start off, you sit down like you’re sitting in the chair like this and lean back. As soon as you go off balance, jump. Now there are ways to practice this. You get something circular, like some gymnastics gyms have it, and you sit in a chair and jump back. Other ways, you can practice on like a trampoline. We can spot you like this and you help your two legs over. The way I do it, well I kind of just busted. My first time, I used to do it like this. I would stay here and go on sideways like that. That’s how I started.
And a way to learn it is also this move, it’s that you start here, squat down, put your hand behind you, it goes to your back and you push it and jump off your legs. Jump up, hand over, lift from the ground and then here just like that. So the back hand spring is like that with a jump.
Now, I can tell you how to do it but I can’t tell you how to get over the fear. But if you have any other questions, post some comments or send messages or whatever. But the fear is always your own journey that you have to get over.
I got over my fears. Most times, we have to just go for it, so one more time.

Here sit back like you’re in a chair, you balance and make sure to watch your hands. A lot of people they will just jump straight up and when they come down they will land it or some people will not do it fast enough. You have to place your hands. If you don’t push on the ground when place your hands then you're going to collapse by hitting your face. All you have to do is this right here.
[Demonstration]
Like that, alright? Now this is not what you’re supposed to because it doesn’t look right. Even though you’re doing it, keep working on it if you do that. But you want to go up and back, so think diagonal, okay? So one way to spot your landing, tilt your head back, okay? You can take a spot over there, jump.
Put your hands that way, spot on the ground, alright. It’s very important. At some gymnastics places, you have to tilt your head back but you know, what I don’t care. If it helps, do it, alright? If you can do it, that’s good. Keep working on it, so back hand spring one more time.
[Demonstration]
Okay, and that’s the tutorial for the back hand spring.
