How to Perform a Banjo Lick
[Demonstration]
Hey guys this will be country Banjo Electric Guitar #2. What’s really good on the
acoustic guitar, electric guitar, it basically works over a G chord.
[Demonstration]
So you can see all that just 5th row on my single to the G chord. Now the tricky part of
this is that I’m actually using my pick and my ring finger and I talked about this in
another lessons as well. So the G on the 6th string, 3rd fret open 1, 2 open on the 4th string
slide up from the 2nd to the third. This is why I use my ring finger. Now he’s in a few
places I’ve indicated in the tab that you can get next to the video.
[Demonstration]
So you see how I’m going, I have another lesson that explains this a little bit more but
down with the pick off with the ring finger so this is a cool part the G string I’m using my
finger on alright my third finger, slide.
[Demonstration]
Through— real quick to country banjo sort of style that’s why I get that ring finger in the
fret there and get some really good speed with that so give that a try and see how that fits
off the G chord and you know try it in different chords as well just get that in blues
country there’s also minor 3 to major 3 that’s the B which is the 3rd fret so that’s in half
there with probably the G7 so there are really a lot of chord tones in there plus hammer
on slides and open strings give you that really great country banjo sort of thing so give
that a shot and good luck with it.
