This exercise is called the front-back squat. You want to first the set the athlete tight so that they come down to the same position each time. That position is a parallel position with the thigh, not the hamstring. So, set the box so that the knee would be even with the break and the hip. The athlete will then come down, tap the box and come right back up. This exercise is called the front-back squat.
