Tai Chi Minute
Hi, it’s David Dorian Ross, America’s Tai Chi champion. I’m here in beautiful Cape Cod Massachusetts with another Tai Chi Minute. You know in Tai Chi tradition, we say, whenever there is a left, there is also a right. Whenever there’s a forward, there’s also a back and whenever up, there’s also a down. Today’s new to this week’s tip about rooster stance on one leg, the movement that it goes up.
Now when you’re going to do the rooster stands on one leg, from whatever position you’re in, the first thing to do is actually go down. I want to sink in the claw, that we’ve been talking abut before and after you sink, then the knee rises, you all noticed, this knee is down. Your still pretty close and rises up, the knee aligns over the elbow, the wrist aligns with the shoulder, there is your rooster, down and then up, down and up. All right, there you have it, another tip for some of your moves in your Tai Chi form from this week’s Tai Chi minute.
Remember Tai chi is meant to be played and not worked to death so go on and have some fun and I’ll see you in the next Tai Chi minute.
