Hey everybody! Neal here welcome back to the Guitar Tricks Channel. We’ve got some fresh lesson and fresh tip action for you right here. And I want to start off a little tip of the week, it’s the pick trick. I’m going to add a little delay on my guitar right now. And basically what you’re doing is messing around up here with your pick. I’m going to put my finger down on the 15th fret and kind of hammer down, up and down with the pick on the frets as I move up. It sounds like this, going up and down with the pick on the 1st string, a little such on any kind of trick right there.
Also, you can go mute the strings and go like this [Demonstration], with a little delay on and off of the strings, also scraping across the strings [Demonstration].
Our lesson of the week is by St. Penguin, YouTube subscriber, he wants to know how to solo on the low part of the next summer, I’ll show you three, one, two three looks down here on the low part of the neck. So I’ll playing the 5th fret of the B string with the second finger, [Demonstration] striking both strings and then in 3rd fret and then open. And then on the third string, 4th fret, second, open and then 2nd fret at the B string.
Second riff I’m going to show you involves pull offs. Hopefully, you know how to do pull offs and you can do this one too, pulling off the same position on the E string, 5th, third and open, [Demonstration] same position on the B string, doing together fast and it sounds like this [Demonstration].
Third one is kind of the standard bluesy riff it’s down the open string position. Second finger, 4th fret, G string, 3rd finger, 4th fret E string and you’re going slide down chromatically [Demonstration] with third and first. So that lick is going to sound like this [Demonstration].
There you go, click on off on soloing on a low part of the neck. Get you off and running with some more soloing techniques. Stay tune right here, we’ll be back in seven days with some fresh lessons and some fresh tips. And I’ve got this lesson from a request from one of our users, so come on by, leave me a comment on the YouTube page over on MySpace, Twitter, guitartricks.com in our forum. And we’ll see you right back here, have a great week everybody. Keep playing, play a little bit everyday. Yeah, it’s good for you, good for the soul.
