How to Perform the Four Aces Card Trick Variation
Magician: Variation.
This is a variation of the Four Ace trick. I’m going to deal out the four aces and place the rest of the cards over them.
Do have any idea where the aces might be?
Female: I don’t.
Magician: No card there. Not there, not there. They’re in your hand.
Female: Ah.
Magician: Okay.
And now for the secret behind this variation of the four ace trick. Now, this effect although it looks like — something of great skill is actually mathematical. It’s self working. You deal three cards on top of each ace and then you reverse the aces. Put them on the bottom of every packet. Simple and they’re really are equally distributed, okay?
Now the secret to this effect is the fact that the cards are not really shuffled. They’re only cut. The spectator cuts the deck as many times as they want. And you yourself give the impression of shuffling. But instead of shuffling, you're not really shuffling you’re just cutting. You’ll see.
All I’m doing — I’m not really shuffling. I’m not taking them out of position. I'm just cutting this fashion. Then make them cut them again.
Now, as long as the cards are merely cut, all you have to do is deal them in a row. And one of these packets is going to contain the aces.
It’s mathematical; it just works out that way.
