Here’s a right cute trick you can do at any Restaurant. A quarter, I’m going to attempt to push that quarter from this table top, okay let’s see I’ll try, it’s not working give me a moment. I’m going to lie to you.
This is why it pays to do in the Restaurant. I can find a hard object at which to push it through, a little salt shaker, excuse me, the salt shaker went through. Well you just have to take it with a grain of salt.
Now for the secret of the Salt Shaker through the table, now the coin is really incidental, it’s purpose is just to miss-direct your attention away from what’s really going to happen which is the penetration of the salt shaker.
After you failed once and twice to put the coin through the table, you’ll say you would need a harder object. So you cover the salt shaker, remember the hit is on the coin, the attention’s on the coin, you try it once and twice but on third time you come back, I would come below the table but this is what’s happening, I drop the salt shaker into my hand or from sitting down into my lap and you’ll notice that the paper retains the shape of the salt shaker so they still believe it’s there. And all I’ve got to do is bring my hand under with the salt shaker, come over here and squish it down and the audience is surprised to see that the shaker self went though.
