Frank: My name is Frank Monica I coach at St. Charles Catholic High School
formerly a two-lane university and I’m working on the sprint out station
where we’re sprinting to the right and sprinting to the left and we also
going to incorporate a little naked action off of that.
I want you to make sure, first of all when you stand, I want you to make
sure you’re sitting on a high stool my arms are extended like this and I’m
having a poker face in other words I want to scan the field left and right. It
makes sense everybody following me so far.
Alright as I drop back I want a drop back if the clock— that 12 o’clock
this is 6 o’clock. So as you step back when you sprint out I want you to
open this is called an open step. I want you to open to 6 o’clock and now
I’m going to have a depth of 7 hip joint behind my tackle, when I get to
this point right here guys. I want you to try in both yourself and I do that
easily by shoving my left hand here.
Now the left shoulder becomes my scope and you guys what— that
becomes a scope. Follow me? And as I throw in I want to approach you
down hill and running towards my target. Alright, I’m going to
demonstrate it once more for you. I need five of you go merry go round
five of you will be over there catching after you throw you go catch and
you guys come and throw. Clear as mud, hello?
Players: Yes sir.
Frank: Okay borrow your flex confidence everybody remember that when I say
borrow your flex what?
Players: Confidence.
Frank: Right. Get on there and show these. Bring your five over there, ready,
who’s going to catch? Are you ready? Alright let’s see what you got.
Ready? Rock and roll.
Player: Set!
Frank: Not bad, not bad. Don’t stop, don’t stop, don’t stop. The ball comes out of
your hand right before the right foot hit. The ball comes out of your hand
right before the right foot hit. Ready? Here we go. That a baby, come back
down. That’s it.
Player: Hut!
Frank: Very good, very good. Come on down here. Very good. Alright swap side.
Where’s you’re left, very good. Now put your heart in it. Don’t stop, don’t
stop. What did I tell you six two notes is two. Alright any guy who wears
he must be good let’s see what he looks like that’s it. Come on, come on
down hill.
Alright, hey guys I need the ball outside right, ball outside. There we go
are you ready? Okay, alright, everybody up here, everybody up here.
Nobody walks on second ground. Hey your walking on second ground
don’t you walk at my second ground you understand? Alright. Okay
alright ready we’re going to Tanana on three, did you guys here me say
that?
Players: Yes sir.
Frank: Borrow your flex what?
Players: Confidence.
Frank: Ata baby, flex what?
Players: Confidence.
Frank: Give me your hands, ready. One, two three
Players: Tananana!
Frank: Get over there, hurry up, hurry up. Take them over coach.
