Hi! My name is Donald Norris and today we’re going to talk about Infrared Photography. Today, we’re here at the beautiful Hollywood Sign. If you can see that back there hopefully you can.
Okay, what is Infrared Photography? Infrared Photography is photographing the infrared spectrum of light rather than the visible spectrum. The main effects are to turn skies darker and more vivid. Smooth out skin and most strikingly turn foliage white. Developed in the 1900s, it was used in area work as it cut through the atmosphere case to deliver clearer images. Eventually, it cut on with landscape from wedding photographers and is now most often used in those fields.
And this is a special camera, just to let you know it has been converted. I had it converted at light pixel. And they convert cameras infrared. Once it goes infrared, it never comes back so that’s all this camera does.
All right, this is awesome, this is exactly what I ‘m looking for, huge difference from what we were looking at. The sky comes out of the background exactly the way we want to see it. The sign just pop so I see Hollywood exactly the way that it supposed to be. The trees and everything around it is completely white, it’s really beautiful, it’s stunning, that’s exactly what we’re looking for, huge difference so you’re going to see that.
