Ouch, looks painful doesn’t it? Only for a split second.
Host: Hello and welcome to watchmojo.com I am your host Mija Lacoman and today I’ll be speaking to Richard, who’s going to walk us through the process of piercing.
Do you have any advice about picking your piercing shop?
Richard: I have lots of advice. You want to get assess to clean, friendly environment and work through anything that hurts without warning you how to time. And people are willing to help you then you know time to get shop if you get a sense that maybe the sun is fading as it should be that’s another bad thing. When you walk in through your piercing room, everything should be immaculate.
Needles should always be sealed, sterilized ahead of time. same thing if you are piercing your belly button the jewelry is already wrapped, sealed, sterilized and make sure that when use any piercing like this would be forceps. This is use just to hold your skin. Pliers I use this just to hold the jewelry it doesn’t even come in contact with the patient and nonetheless everything is sealed and sterilized.
Once they have been use they are put in here, it’s called a cold sterilizer. It is basically a strong disinfectant. This is our sterilization room and this are clean side instruments once they have been use they are collected in here, this is the dirty side the disinfectant is rinsed-off. Once they are dry they are package in sterilization, pouches and then we put them in this an autoclave and this kills all bacteria.
Host: I see. And what should be people know before getting a piercing?
Richard: You never want to see and take jewelry from the front display, bringing it in the back and pierce you with that, it’s a definite no, no. If you come in and the instruments are already open that’s a no, no have them reopen packages in front of you a0nd make sure you know what is in for. You know piercing hurt, tattoos hurts so as long as you are ready for that then it is piece of cake.
Host: Speaking of what hurts. What are the most painful areas?
Richard: Nipples, septums you know that again can vary from person to person. Some girls take piercing like no problem and then same things some guys on being macho guys they pass out and get really various.
Host: And the least problematic area for getting a piercing?
Richard: Least problematic I would say nose is a really simple, eyebrows are very simple but piercing like belly button which should be simple they are prone to infection and irritation because sleep on them and people touch them and people hook them on things.
