Dan Hernandez: For this week's Tip of the Week, I want to talk to you a little bit about what we are doing out here today at the island, fishing with live squid.
When you fish live squid, get these larger hooks, you need to go with a dropper loop rigs, sliding egg rig but what I like to use, is a lead head. This particular model here is a one ounce. When you are fishing for the Calico bass you can go as light as half ounce to one ounce for the white sea bass yellow tails, you should go at least with two ounce lead head and what we do is go ahead and grab a live squid out of water here and when you pin it on, you want to go right up here to the tip, once, and twice, just like that and that's the way it should look, that's the live squid rigged for fishing calico bass, yellow tail white sea bass.
Well, that's this week's Tip of the Week. I want to thank everybody El Dorado, our skipper Eddy, Steve, the owner of the boat and all the crew here. Everybody did a great job. I hope all of you at home enjoyed this week's episode of Sport Fishing and I hope you join us again next week as we go looking for more of the bass in Sport Fishing.
