How to Plan Your Return Serves

Joe Dinoffer: A common mistake is not planning where to return serve, it's just like driving a car without a destination or like firing a cannon before aiming it. The best players on the other hand are very specific about their targets on every shot. Listen to my 12 year old daughter Colindy planning her service returns. Colindy: If it comes to my forehand, I am going to go cross court and if it comes to my backhand, I am going to go up the line. Joe Dinoffer: And as players advance, they should not only plan direction, but also a choice of spin and more.
