Make sure you dig a hole that allows for root growth. Mix in equal amounts of local soil. Mix the compost.
Where is that cameraman? Oh Jim is that you. Oh, he’s nodded yes. So we’re doing a landscaping job. We’re planting fruit trees and everything. You see what we did over here, this is a mixture of compose and a nice Sicilian mix.
We’re going to go ahead and mix it in with local sand and I want to mix both of these together. So it becomes a nice mixture. I always want to use mixing with local soil you have. So this particular batch right here is very, very sandy. Lack of nutrients, nothing so we want to mix it all together and I think we’re going to do planting and take a look over here and see what this is.
That’s a peach. So we’re going to be planting a peach today. Add some more of this nice Sicilian mix to it, add some more of this nice compost to it, it look better they—oh hi, Tim. How are you doing?
Just talking to myself so here’s a—so this is a soil. We’ve got real fine soil, we’re going to add Sicilian mix and compost to it, mix it all up and I really dug a nice hole. The hole should be one and a half size of container all way around and give it plenty f room to grow. We’re going to take some of these. We’ll put it right into the container. Whether you added water, you put water in here so it's nice and moist and everything.
Hi, are we still here? Good! So you see what we did. We stuck the tree put it in the ground, level but I’m not going to touch the root or anything. Normally, you can go like this but it will fall apart very fast raising them on it then don’t touch it too much.
Then I’m going to add some more soil around it. So we added water and then we add some of this compost to it, you want it all to be nice and wet so that it holds water. I’m going to add some of this Sicilian mix to it. Okay, turn the water off. Now, take this and just put it in here over around, a bit more. Pat it all down. Okay, so you see we patted it all down and important that you don’t want to higher them where the ball was before. It was before. Everything is nice and patted down and this is going to be one happy—what is this again? August Pride Peach. And so there you go how to plan fruit trees and what two or three easy steps.
