Next is the D7 chord. Remember the D chord (Guitar playing) that we learn? 1st finger, 2nd finger, 3rd finger, 4th string chord (Guitar playing)? Here is how I remember my D7 as opposed to my D chord. Let me tell you first how to make the D7 chord and then I will show you how to always remember it so you never get confused between one and the other. Because sometimes, it can be a little confusing.
The D chord, the D7 chord, remember they are a little bit different by they are kind of the same just like the C7 and the A7. We are going to take the D7 chord now which starts with the 4th string open (Guitar playing). 3rd string, 2nd fret 2nd finger, 2nd string 1st fret 1st finger and finally, 1st string 2nd fret 2nd finger. And remember it is a four string chord.
So, picked (Guitar playing) I know that in a lot of music and strummed (Guitar playing). Now, here is how to remember, remember I was going to tell you about this (Guitar playing) here is how I remember the D chord as opposed to the D7 chord. If you look at the D chord, this note here, 3rd string 2nd fret, 1st string 2nd fret and then we have this guy out here to make the D chord.
Now, on the D7 chord, it is the same note here, here on the 3rd and the 1st string but we have the 1st finger here. If you look at it, it kind of look like a backward D chord. So, we have this two guys right here and this one in the front. We have been seeing two guys here with that guy in the back (Guitar playing) Well, think about it as a backwards D chord (Guitar playing) and it will be easy to distinguish the D from the D7 chord.
