Good. Sit now. Let us talk about that quickly. He has no defense on him, he has no defense on him yet we have a turn over. We are two on zero and have a turn over. As a coach I cannot be very happy when that happens. Never should that happen if the mental concentration here and the mental concentration there at 100%. What happens simply is this; I lulled my players to sleep when I talk to you. When you coach this you must understand this also, you cannot lull your people to sleep while you try to teach this drill. We hope we are not lulling you to sleep while we are trying to teach you this drill.
But there is a great example of two players that their brain is kind of rested up, and when they try to make the cuts, there was no coordination. Now what happens with one minute to go? We go to this drill and we call a timeout, and we come over, we have to make sure our players know when we go to what we call a “Golden Eagle”, our spread delay, we are looking to score. Then we never have this problem of non-communication between two people. Alright, let us continue.
Good, one hander, he scores. Kick it out, continue. Okay, hold it up.

When we started early in the year when we put this drill in, we want the coaches to give them plenty of time for the cut. Go ahead coach. Okay.
Now let us do it one more time at full speed, giving plenty of time for the cut. Good. Now, as the year goes on we want them to be able to anticipate quicker. So we are going to make the move with the coach right at the last second and our young man has to read that. Here we go, good, continue, good, good hand, good, go, good, keep stepping up, good, keep stepping up, square up quick, there it is, lay-in, that easy.
It looks like we are- it looks like we are five on zero, but of each of these people are anticipating and visualizing a defensive player out there, they are playing five on five right now and that is what they are doing. They are visualizing in their mind, “I have someone on me, I got a beating.” When Big John comes in there and coaches above him, he knows backdoor, the guy denied. That is all it takes for a lay-in.
