Okay. One thing that I am in for you advanced people, I am going to show you the bass line that to the Peter Gun just so you can have some fun. And my basic people, you can also learn this bass line because I am going to play it very slowly. So, if you watch my hand, I am still staying with this one, two, three, four, things that are definitely pretty easy to play. And I got to say that they are pretty basic things to play. So, we are going to watch my hand on this and you are going to see how to play this bass line which is a theme to Peter Gun.
[demonstration]
Okay. And then, we go back and explain that. Basically, the whole pattern is done with my left hand going open, first finger… [demonstration]
So, remember that one, two [demonstration]
So, it goes to those basic things that we are doing in our patterns, in our practicing, things that will help build our hand dexterity if you can practice hand dexterity so that you know one, two, four leaving out the third. So you got one, two [demonstration]. So, playing this bass line only requires using the first open string, the second fret, the third fret and the fifth fret. [demonstration]. Let me slow that down a little bit more. [demonstration]. Another thing, you can also play this on any of your strings using the open string. [demonstration] Why? When I tell you about the learning patterns and learning what fingerings do, this is something else that we have learned. So, we will know that anytime that I have an open string and I play this pattern with using these notes, that is the way that it will sound on the bass. We will get in to how to play it in other positions at a later time, but we will just do this for right now. For you people that want to be really cool, you could play the melody too. Let me show you that really quickly.
[demonstration]
Okay, so there. You can have fun. Just try to learn how to play all that stuff and you too can play just like me. If you have any problems, this bass line will be written out on the icons of rock website and you should be able to follow right along.
