Okay now that you have learned the first half of the song, the main verse for Elvis Presley’s “Can’t help falling in love,” all we have to do now is to do the chorus. It is actually very simple and very repetitive so it should be very easy for you to learn. I will just go through it once and then we will break it down for you. It goes back to the beginning.
So let us start off with our right hand here first, we are just going to grab this B note right here and it goes like this. I believe we are going to do that three times in a row so one more. Okay, and then you play it back right to the beginning of the song again. So let us go to that right hand one more time. Starting off from the B here, three times now, that is two and then you go right back to the beginning of the song.
So we will put some chorus with that. We are going to start off with an E minor in our left hand. Just go to your E every second note from that then the next chord we are going to play after that. Just leave your top finger where it is on the B here and move your bottom two fingers down half a tone to the two blocks. So you are going to end up playing this one, this one and this one. That is the first chord and then you move this two down, move the top on where it is A then there is also a D minor in there if you can only play three finger do it this way. So you go D and your second note but if you want to play a little extra nice, add another two notes and add your C to it. At the last chord, the G7, you keep your bottom two fingers where they are. Bring the top two downward, G7. So we went from there from D minor.
So we will just go over those again. You are starting off with your E minor, second chord you bring it down the two middle fingers down to the block notes and then we are going to play your D minor and add a C to it. And then on the G7, let us see how that goes together here. Now, we are going to start off with the E minor and down to that second there and do it again. Now your D minor, add that C note and then G7. There goes back to the beginning of the song again so let us try that again nice and slow here. Starting off with your E minor, here it goes two down to the blocks.
Okay you have to do it three times and then you go to your D minor and your G7 and back on your C where we started this song. Okay so we have gone through the whole thing. Let us put it all together and review it. I would encourage you if you want to play just straight chords like that I was doing here earlier, go ahead. If you want to add individual notes into a kind of a beat, go ahead, if you want to mix, go ahead. One of the thing that is good playing by ear, you are not restricted to playing with a sheet of paper, you can do this in your mind with what sounds good to your ear.
So let us go to the whole thing now. The chorus, now we are back to the beginning again. So there you go with the song. Good luck with it and let me know how you went with it.
