Hi folks! Welcome back on Section 3 of Classical Gas. I’m going to do three things in this little video. I’m going to recap the first section. Recap and correct the second section because I know I’ve caused a little bit of confusion there and then we’ll give you section 3.
So the first section, just to recap, goes like this… Section 1. Okay into Section 2, let me show you where I misled you. I talked about the 5th string in the 2nd video, and didn’t actually play it. And also missed a single beat of this 5th string in that 2nd video. And the reason is because I’ve messing around with the piece for such a long time now, that you pick a bad habit, and you play it slightly different ways. So I’m going to give you the definitive version right now. And so the second section goes like this… Okay. So this 5th string gets picked, and I guess picked 3x in total… So it’s that beat that I just played that I missed out at the original… Again, quickly… Hopefully that would clear up the confusion. That’s exactly like the tab is shown so…
Now into this 3rd section then. Let me just play the exact lesson I’m going to give you, and then we’ll do the last in itself, the exact piece… And then we come to the tricky bits… So, that’s the whole section we’re going to cover. I think I put a couple of wrong notes in there such a fool of me for making it more difficult, however, forgive me. It’s a complex piece to teach, it really is. Okay, so let’s get into this bit. So we’ve done… I believe to this section. So it’s the 2nd and 5th string, now notice how low when we’re playing the 3rd string on the 2nd fret, I’m holding the full chord, it’s just easier that way… Again… And then we do… Stroke 3…2, 3, 1, 2… So, again, 2nd and 5th string… Again… Then back to the lick… Exactly the same, except we didn’t go into this long run, that you lived part of it in the first section, the second section… And then it carries on… Quite complicated isn’t it. And now you realize why I’m doing this in small sections, because it’s quite complex.
So, from this 1st, 2nd string, 5th string pick… And then… I’ll do that again for you, nice and slowly… Slightly speed it up now… You play it twice… Except we finish… There… The second time. And that’s the end really of this third lesson. And we finish there because it moves on to this section… And I’m not going to give you that lesson yet, okay. So let me quickly recap on section 3. It’s at the end of out riffing section, so… And this is section 3… Again, second time through… And so on into lesson 4.
Okay, I hope last nights are good enough for you. Crack on. And don’t get impatient with me, I’m going to put this out at nice speed, nice and steadily, so that everyone learns it okay. Take care. Bye-bye….
